Antico Caffè San Marco
Caffè San Marco is one of the most beautiful and ancient historical cafés in Trieste. Founded in 1914, it is a place steeped in history, a café that witnessed all the great events of the twentieth century in Trieste, Italy and Europe. As soon as you go through the entrance, you are immediately captivated by a magical ambiance: the Liberty furnishings, the brass chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings covered with bronze-coloured coffee leaves, the small tables in red Veronese marble, the large mirrors on the walls reflecting the images of the original paintings, an emotion accompanied by a wonderful aroma of freshly ground coffee. Entering Caffè San Marco is truly an experience.
